Austin Teen Arrested with Ecstacy Pills

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on the evening of July 19, Deputy Joe Gonzales initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 71 near West Point for traveling in the left lane without passing.

On making contact with the driver Deputy Gonzales detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and had the driver step out to wait for another deputy in order to conduct a probable cause search of the vehicle.

Deputy Mcleney arrived to assist Deputy Gonzales and upon searching the vehicle several baggies of what is believed to be synthetic marijuana were located inside. The driver was arrested and upon arrival at the jail admitted to having another baggie of marijuana and a baggie of Ecstacy pills.

Arrested and booked into the Dan R. Beck Justice Center was 19-year-old Davine Mackey of Austin for the offense of possession of a controlled substance.
