Active COVID Cases Continue to Fall Here
As of Monday morning Fayette County had 31 combined active/probable cases of coronavirus, down from 37 such cases on Wednesday. This continues a trend which has persisted over the last few weeks of fewer and fewer active cases.
355 people have recovered and the county is confirming six deaths here (though the state says there have been 14 deaths here). The case numbers could be poised to change, however, as a massive testing event will be held at the Fairgrounds in La Grange this week, with Monday being devoted to teachers and students, as they get back to school.
