Forty-two local kids helped bring the play “Abandoned Way Out West” to the stage last Friday-Sunday at the Performing Arts Center in La Grange.

The play centered on a group of orphans in an old west town. Two villians try to take advantage of the kids before their plot is foiled.

This was the first of two student productions this summer put on by the Fayette County Community Theatre.

A second production, “Little Women,” put on by a whole other group of students, will be staged July 24-26 in La Grange.
