214 Cases Now, 100 Active
The number of people currently infected with coronavirus in Fayette County reached 100 on Wednesday, July 15, according to data released by the Fayette County Office of Emergency Management. Since officials began tracking the pandemic back in March, 214 people have been infected with the virus and 99 people have recovered.
As of Wednesday afternoon, four people have died from the COVID-19 disease.
The County has lost track of 11 patients who at one time tested positive.
Listed below is a location breakdown of the cases in Fayette County:
• Pct. 1 (La Grange area) – 47 active cases, 42 recoveries, no deaths;
• Pct. 2 (Round Top/Fayetteville area) – 13 active cases, 14 recoveries and two deaths
• Pct. 3 (Flatonia area) – 16 active cases, 27 recoveries and no deaths
• Pct. 4 (Schulenburg area) – 23 active cases, 14 recoveries and two deaths
• Precinct Unknown – one active case, two recoveries.
