NVCC Center Hopes to Re-Open in June

Navidad Valley Community Connections (NVCC) has a variety of masks available. If you need a mask, contact Nancy Hay at (979) 561-5092 to order some or arrange an appointment to see what is available. They are at the Crafty Corner location, 1202 Kessler Ave., Suite 202, but the building is closed so a call is necessary. Masks can also be customized to fit children. The center has recieved an order of elastic, so if you prefer a mask with elastic ear loops instead of ties, that can be arranged. faithful stitchers are Debby Florus, Kathy Bertsch, Betty Gabler and Sandy Colvin. These masks are three layers, and follow the CDC pattern. A free will donation is asked if possible.

The NVCC center is planning to re-open the center in June, as soon as it is deemed safe for folks 65 and over to be out and about. The menu is set up and seating has been reconfigured and extra safety precautions have been added to the food serving line. The center will be ready to resume normal schedule. That includes the Wednesday bingo games, which have been a great favorite. Several regulars have obviously been sharing their enthusiasm for bingo with their families.

Remember NVCC and the Amazon Smile program as you place your online orders to Amazon. The easiest way is to go to the navidadvalleycc.com, scroll down the first page to Amazon Smile program. Click on the link and it will take you to Amazon where you can shop to your hearts delight and NVCC will get a donation at no cost to you.

NVCC thanks and appreciates those who have donated cash and supplies.
