A free, painless, COVID-19 testing event will be held Aug.17 - 21 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds in La Grange.
There will be free testing for all and Fayette County residency is not required.
Monday August 17, will be designated for school students, school teachers, and school staff. Public and private schools are invited. Teachers and staff are asked to arrive between 8 a.m. and noon. Students are asked to arrive from noon-3:30 p.m.
From Tuesday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 21, testing is open to all area residents from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All healthcare workers and particularly those who work with the elderly such as nursing home employees, assisted living employees, home health employees, independent living employees and first responders are encouraged to be tested.
Please bring your cell phone to the event for quicker registration. This is a self-administered cheek swab test, and is not painful. Results will be sent by email, text or phone call. Email is preferred and will provide the most rapid response.
