County Fair Proceeding With Plans
Like some of the other big summer festivals who have already announced plans to continue their events in some form of fashion (Round Top 4th of July, Schulenburg Festival), officials from the Fayette County Fair also plan to hold their event this year amidst coronavirus precautions.
“We are planning to go on with the fair as usual unless we are told otherwise,” said Fair President Michael Zuhn. “There will probably be some changes due to COVID-19, but we don’t know what they may be.”
The fair, which began in 1927, is always Labor Day weekend.
The entertainment lineup for this year’s fair is going to be released in early June, Zuhn said.
