679 in Nursing Homes Tested; Free Testing June 17

On June 11, five teams of military testing experts came to Fayette County and conducted coronavirus testing at all of the Fayette County nursing homes. In total 679 citizens were tested. Of those, 311 were residents of the nursing homes and 368 were staff at the nursing homes. Fayette County Chief of Emergency Management Craig Moreau said. “we are awaiting the results of the testing and will share the results once they are available.”

Next week, there will be another opportunity to test anyone in the county who wishes to be tested. On Wednesday June 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. testing will be performed at the Wolters Park in Schulenburg. Citizens can either be tested in their cars, or can walk-up to be tested. There is no cost for the testing. There is no residency requirement for the testing. Wolters Park is located at 1103 Bohlmann Ave. in Schulenburg.
