Biden Needs to Go

To the Editor: Every person who voted for Biden has blood on their hands. Those voters ignored the facts of Biden’s illegal behavior.

Done With NFL

To the Editor: This past week, prior the Dallas and Tampa NFL game, the Black national anthem was played. No anthems for other races were played.

Flying the Flag

To the Editor: I appreciated the comments concerning flying the flag at half staff in last week’s letter, but was surprised by the comments concerning flying the flag at full staff. To remember the soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan by not lowering the flag to half staff indicates one would do nothing to signify their honor.

Day of “Resurrection” at the Kana Place

On May 28, 2021 we experienced a small tornado or twister in Holman. It happened to catch a portion of my farm on the North East side. It uprooted and twisted off a few large trees along the fence line of my neighbor’s. The only major large tree that was uprooted was next to my large barn. It was located about 50 feet from the barn and next to a cattle guard. This tree was an elm tree that I planted there in 1971 when we bought the farm. I actually rescued it from the bank of Williams Creek on my Dad’s farm. It was already leaning over the bank so I had no trouble digging it up. It grew up fast and became a favorite shade tree for the cattle. When it was about 20 feet high, a bolt of lighting struck the top of it and knocked of the top of it. This caused it to balloon outward and form an umbrella effect.

Real Estate Values Here

To the Editor: I saw this headline in the Wall Street Journal: “$4.3 Million Rural Estate 90 Minutes From Austin, Texas, Finds a Buyer in Two Days” By Liz Lucking “In a perfect demonstration of the strength of the Lone Star State’s booming housing market, a luxurious 16-acre compound in Round Top Texas, with a $4.3 million asking price has secured a buyer in just two days.” Scott Rodibaugh Flatonia.

Why Politicize?

To the Editor: When I saw the names and photos of the fallen soldiers who died in Afghanistan appeared in last week’s opinion section, I immediately thought, “What a caring gesture.” Then, I read the next sentences and realized the message was to politicize the tragic event-an event that all Americans are grieving over. To suggest that all Americans are not honoring these fallen heroes is unbelievable.

COVID Thoughts

To the Editor: The greatest amount of vaccinate hesitant persons are PhD’s, those with less than a high school degree and 70% of African Americans. Why is this? Please listen to Dr.
