Control Your Dogs

To the Editor: This letter is written based on concerns I have about walking/jogging/bike riding. First of all, please correct me if I’m wrong, but do private citizens have free access to safely walk/jog/bike ride on public roads? I think so, as long as you do not trespass on one’s private property.

Thank You

To the Editor: On behalf of the Salvation Army of La Grange I would like to extend our gratitude to the citizens of Fayette County and all who contributed to the Red Kettle campaign this year. It was a huge success.

Dark Nights

Blinn Classes A Bargain for Ranchers

Many of you know that I teach continuing education classes at Blinn College in Schulenburg. I enjoy teaching and meeting many good folks who want to learn. I strongly believe that to teach is to touch a life forever. For the spring semester at Blinn I am trying a few new classes and all of them have benefits for ranchers.

The Austin American-Statesman reported the suit was filed in an Austin federal court by the ACLU and two immigrant advocacy groups on behalf of the county.

Happy Holidays

Bells are ringing, choirs are singing, credit card machines are zinging, lights are blinking, fingers are dancing, feet are rushing, minds are darting, and I’m sitting in my living room resting. Yep, it’s the December holiday season, when I pull out the stops of cheerfulness, spending, and exhaustive searching for perfect presents that will be regifted and probably regifted again.

Fayetteville Council Made the Right Choice

To the Editor: Pat Johnson’s letter in the previous issue of The Record takes issue with Fayetteville City Council’s unanimous decision to permit dismantling and reconstruction of the old E.J. Knesek building as a Community Center and Performance Theater to serve the city and surrounding area.
