You Reap What You Sow

The Christian faith is constantly evolving as the Bible’s message undergoes different interpretations. This has resulted in a branching under the umbrella of the Word of Christ. There are a variety of Christian churches in La Grange alone; Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, etc. There is a common set of principles among these faiths which includes loving one’s fellow man and treating others the way you want them to treat you. A recent branch has emerged which I call Republican Christian.

This branch attacks anyone practicing any of the traditional values; usually by name calling; such as “snowflake.” The Republican Christians hide behind Bible verses using corrupted interpretations to support their political agenda, which is rich in hate and bigotry. The Republican Christians are blind to the fact that, depending on how one interprets the Bible, it can be used to support immigration and other issues they’re against. This offshoot of the Christian faith has abandoned the Golden Rule and many other traditional Christian principles.

Remember, you reap what you sow.
