Wrong Side of History?

To the Editor:

According to the author of Texas on the Wrong Side of History, anyone who disagrees with him is “repulsive” and guilty of “bigotry.” Such accusations are intended to end all debate, but I will try anyway.

Let’s take just one of his complaints. That is SB 14 which would prohibit so called gender affirming care for children. Common sense would say that a child should not have body parts removed because someone thinks the child wants to be a sex other than the one with which he or she was born. Our brains are not fully developed until we are about 25 years old. How many of us did something when we were 14 years old and now think that it was not a terribly bright thing to do?
