What Would Jesus Do?

To the Editor:

When I read letters to the editor in the FCR, I am baffled by certain writers who, while proclaiming their love for Jesus and quoting scripture, proceed to vent so much venom toward undocumented immigrants, Democrats, liberals, and anyone who doesn’t think President Trump is God’s gift to humanity.

Historically, liberals battled conservatives to give all Americans the right to vote, to have safe working conditions, equal access to education, laws against child labor, civil rights, social security, medicare, environmental protections, safe food, safe air, safe water, safe medications, and much more.

I wonder if these self-proclaimed champions of Christian values ever ask themselves “what would Jesus do?”
