What Will it Look Like?

To the Editor:

What is the Democratic party doing? People are very frustrated with all the protests and riots that are going on around the country and even here in the state of Texas. They are closing down sections of cities, burning government and private property and intimidating people.

I think, the people in charge of these cities are encouraging it. These riots are organized and well-funded by large donors within the Democratic party. They are covering the legal expenses of protesters who get arrested if they even get arrested. What appeared to start as protest against police brutality and social injustices has turned into anarchy and a movement to overthrow our rule of law.

Many people are frustrated and tired of all the political arguing and division and want to disengage but this is not the time because that is their objective: to overwhelm, frustrate, intimidate and discourage opposition to give up and then influence the upcoming elections. The only thing stopping this violent movement from succeeding is our police and our belief in the rule of law. That is why they want the police defunded. If they succeed, can you imagine the type of government we will leave our children and grandkids? What will the programs like Social Security and Medicare, which we have paid for and rely on, look like?
