Count The Positives

To the Editor:

Recently there has been some discussion that the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center has expenses that the City of La Grange has incurred. As an Economic Development and Tourism project consider the positives the Texas Czech Center has brought to La Grange:

• The President of another Country.

• Ambassadors representing other countries.

• Visitors from across Texas and other States.

• Donations and contributions from around the State and other Countries to help build a Cultural Center that continues to grow.

• Cultural events throughout the year that bring recognition to the local heritage.

• And the list goes on. Remember, this is an Economic Development and Tourism project that didn’t just happen. La Grange and the County competed against other cities and counties in the State for this Center. This Community was chosen. This Center is definitely an Economic Development success as it continues to bring to La Grange visitors, tourism revenues and recognition on the State and National level.
