Vaxing Questions

To the Editor:

John W. Mikus had yet another long-winded, letter in the July 23 edition of this paper. This time he is blaming Republican leadership for not “encouraging” (read: “demanding/mandating”) that their constituents get vaccinated against COVID 19. He rambles on about the newest strain of the virus and continued mutations. When did Mr. Mikus get his doctorate in immunology and viral mutations?

Below are a few reasons some are not getting vaccinated.

• Last year Joe Biden and Kamala Harris said that the vaccine would not be safe if ready in the Fall of 2020. Two weeks after the election, the vaccine delivery date was announced. If they weren’t lying, the vaccine is not safe.

• Conservatives might take the vaccine if they were able to do research, but vaccine information has been censored off the Internet. Democrats approve of censorship of anything that conflicts with their narrative, so the fact that some conservatives are not taking the vaccine is the Democrats’ fault.

• Liberals are bringing back masking for everyone, which means only one thing: The vaccine does not work. If the vaccine worked, liberals would not be afraid of unvaccinated people spreading the virus to vaccinated people. That fear is another reason why some do not vaccinate.

• The Biden administration has opened the southern borders, letting thousands of unvaccinated illegal immigrants into the country to be sent all over the United States. If there was really a health threat, and he truly cared about the American people, the president would never let that happen. Therefore, there must not be a health threat. So, why take the vaccine?

• Biden chose to keep Dr. Fauci even though he has been wrong on just about everything. If someone else was in Fauci’s position, we might be persuaded, but not with Fauci, who has continuously pursued a political agenda, and has repeatedly lied about the research in the Wuhan labs. Confusing, conflicting misinformation from the Biden administration is another reason why some don’t vaccinate.

I think people that have had the virus don’t need a vaccine. The science is clear to me, but the Democrats do not care about science, only control. They will continue to use every “new strain” of the virus to stimulate fear and try to control the American people – destroying our economy and freedoms along the way.

John Mikus, please hide in your house and stop complaining via letters. My body, my choice.
