Tunnel Vision in Recent Letter

To The Editor:

Relating to John Mikus’ recent letter: It wasn’t Putin’s Soviet Union that collapsed but rather Gorbachev’s in 1991, with yet another failed socialist/ communist regime. Succeeded by Yeltsin and then Putin rose to power in their 2000 election.

While the geopolitical games continue…as they have forever, the people suffer. I found it astounding that you railed against NATO, Big Oil, Cheney and yes, of course Trump without once mentioning Biden and his Administration for their failures in this yet another crisis. Then it occurred to me, you may want to have your vision checked.

Tunnel Vision. the tendency to look at things from only one point of view; prejudice or narrow-mindedness.

You forgot to mention how intertwined Biden and Son were with Ukraine. Or, how Putin orchestrated the Crimean secession and annexation in 2014 while Obama/Biden did nothing. Purely coincidence I guess that Putin’s plan was neutered under Trump but as soon as Biden returns he feels emboldened once again to take what he wants to rebuild the Soviet Union. Sadly, sounds like the people of Moldova might be his next target. But hey, there’s the UN that can save them, right?

Peace through strength. Hopefully the world can hang on until November mid-terms right the ship. God Bless America.
