Truth Distortion

To the editor:

Regarding the essay “ICE and Memories from Liberia”. I was saddened and shocked by the end of the essay. We all know how the national news media distorts and skews facts to serve their purpose. I did not think our local residents did that.

How innocent the victims in Minnesota sound; One turning her car around, the other filming ICE operation in his hometown. What a world of facts the writer leaves out to serve her purpose. Her version makes the officials seem like callus murderers. I did not expect such distortion of truth from her. It is just this type of fear mongering that leads to further anger and agitation in our nation.
