True Leader Needed

To the Editor:

It never seems to fail that whoever is elected to the White House their picks for positions in the administration are ridiculed. Some deserve the recognition of being less than favorable and others pillars for all of us to rally around.

After this last election cycle a person was chosen by the people. Not that there were many favorable candidates we chose from that group. They all have made silly comments and quotes, but to ridicule the winner and not make direct comparisons to the loser is a bit unfair. They both at times deserved to have a sock put in their mouths just to keep them from speaking.

When election time came the winner was chosen not because of his brilliance, but most saw him as the lesser of two evils. We can all shake our heads at the blunders that our chosen leader seems to be making, but can we say for sure the alternative would have been much better?

I just hope for this country that a new leader will come forth and make a solid attempt at unifying the people and will be a true leader. Right now we had to choose the lesser of two evils and that is a horrible way to elect someone to the presidency.
