Tragic Story

To the Editor:

How tragic for the children at Whispering Hills (the Flatonia-area facility’s problems detailed in a story earlier this month). Does the State do enough inspections; does it issue meaningful penalties or just give citations? No child should be left at the mercy of such a situation. In regard to the caregiver that injured the child, did he or she under go anger management? Is that person again employed caring for children? Please follow up on this situation. Who will speak for the children if you don’t? It doesn’t sound like anyone else cares.

Keep up your good work Andy Behlen.
