Too Much Division
To the Editor:
I am replying to a letter to the editor dated Jan. 22, 2021. Ms. Rogers said President Trump told his listeners to “march to the Capitol and to fight like hell.” What she left out was the word, “peacefully.” Trump said to walk “peacefully” to the Capitol. A very important word left out.
Mounting evidence is now showing that this riot had been planned days before Trump’s speech. After thousands of people at Trump’s rallies through the years, there was finally a riot, but this certainly does not speak for the majority of respectable, patriotic Trump supporters.
In fact, anyone who wants to blame Trump for inciting violence, please don’t throw stones from glass houses. These Democrats, Pelosi, has said to hit with a punch, Booker has said to punch him (Trump) in the face, Maxine Waters encouraged people to push back on Trump supporters, along with saying she’d “take out Trump” herself. President Biden has said more than once he’d like to take Trump behind the gym and “beat the hell out of him.” A wanna-be comedian and actor talked about killing the past president, or showed pictures of Trump with his head cut off. Tell me when President Trump ever did or said anything like this?
The attack on the Capitol was wrong, and five people died during or after that break in. The last count I heard was that over 30 have died since all the reported “mostly peaceful” street riots started last year in various cities across our nation. Are these lives of lesser value just because these people are not in government? Arson, destruction of cars, businesses, historical statues torn down, defacing of public streets, threatening people in restaurants, shootings of cops and carrying arms and projectiles in the riots, all depict extreme violence, which again, the writer failed to mention Jan. 22. Our country is being torn apart from the inside out but some just want to blame the past president for everything, and one leftist group even states they want to destroy the nuclear family.
I support Rand Paul and his future efforts to look into possible voter fraud in each state since the past election. It is reported, there is much evidence to consider, such as some states extending the mail-in voting date which I think was illegal. It is a shame no court has even had the decency to look at what evidence there is to confirm or deny voter fraud. Some say there was just not enough time. Or, maybe it was political.
Like most law-abiding, caring Americans, I am tired of the division that is being thrown at some by calls of racism, I am tired of hearing of Russian collusion, of which no evidence ever supported. I am tired of media corruption, and futile, costly impeachments of President Trump, and the spying on the Trump administration with no repercussions to those who spied. Rioters and those in power, or their children, who break the law, never get justly punished. Corruption is exposed over and over, Benghazi, destroyed emails, computer evidence, spying, proof of money extortion and laundering, yet no one is punished.
I would ask President Biden, when will you do what you promised and start trying to unite us, rather than causing thousands to lose their jobs, and stopping the wall, letting criminals and more drugs back into our country, maybe even more of the virus? When President Biden, will our children stop being taught they are racist just because of their skin color? When will our freedom of speech stop being censored by those on the left? All this divides.
President Biden has been in office three weeks, and all this. What will our country be in four years?
Jesus we pray you protect our America.
