Too Many Mistakes
To the editor:
It is always a pleasure to read the Fayette County Record when the articles contain numerous editing mistakes. The last paper, Friday, July 2, had a number of errors that should have been caught before going to press.
The article about the International Faculty at Festival Hill, the country New Zealand was mentioned “and even new Zealand.” A minor error, but still renaming a country is a bit much. Even the “Local Vet Recalls America’s Fight for Freedom” guest column mentioned the the Treaty of Versailles was too lenient and gave the Axis an opportunity to rebuild the infamous NAZI Germany. Far from it, the country’s of France and Great Britain shirked their duty to squash Hitler when he moved away from the articles of the Treaty.
While I am sure it is sometimes difficult to edit a newspaper, but The Fayette County Record it is nowhere near the New York Times in size and content. Please do a better job editing the content.
