Time for Bankruptcy
To the Editor:
St. Marks has to enormously reduce the $13 million mortgage. To do that, how about stopping all interest and principle payments. When foreclosure happens, file for bankruptcy reorganization. That blender could eventually produce the right owner of the property (a hospital, the county) and a rent/mortgage payment that matches a rural hospital’s reality.
Whoever loaned the $13 million made a bad decision. Bad decisions lead to big hair cuts. It’s time for the big hair cut. Go, fight, win city, county and our hospital.
