Third Party Possible for 2024 Elections

After the last election a lot of people are confused and feeling neither Republicans or Democrats in Washington DC fairly represent them. Universal vote by mail laws have turned elections into a farce designed to insulate the political establishment from the wrath of upset voters. Election transparency is replaced with threats of prosecution for those who think flimsy claims that elections are “the safest ever” ought to be backed up with honest validations of their results.
Neither political party seems vitally interested in changing much of this beyond their superficial indignation. But the drums of political upheaval are beating. Former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard made a media splash by leaving the Democrat Party to become an Independent. Several Republican Congressional Representatives and a few Republican Senators are openly chafing over where their party is headed. Attempts to run Biden for a second term as President, and any serious challenges to a Trump run for 2024 by the Republican Party could see the formation of a new third party drawing from both of the other two which could deny a majority in the House or the Senate to any party, and perhaps see the election of a third party President.
None of this will be possible if mail in ballots to every voter continue to enable many creative means to manipulate election results. The Supreme Court is due to rule on the Constitutional mandate that State Legislatures are the only government body with authority to make and change election laws. If this happens, the fiasco we saw in the 2020 and 2022 elections could be superseded by the first true three party battle in over 100 years.
In the interim, illegal immigration overloading federal welfare and healthcare costs and looming economic disaster combined with the FBI turning into a federal political enforcement bureau may make all future elections irrelevant in the resulting chaos. Lots to think about as we leave 2022 in the rear view mirror and head towards 2024.
