Thanks to Vaccine Heros
To the Editor:
Last Tuesday, Feb. 2, my daughter, son-in-law, his father, and I drove to the Brenham Expo Center for our COVID-19 vaccine. They had scheduled a 7:30 a.m. appointment for us and confirmed it with us two days earlier. We arrived at 7:20 a.m. and immediately were greeted by attendants. We followed their directions, drove through each section, and never ran into a roadblock or traffic jam. At each section they posted symbols on the car windshield, such as number of people receiving shots, temperature check, paperwork, and shot received.
When we reached the pavilion we lowered our car window and received our shot from medical personnel. Then a symbol was placed on the window indicating when the 15-minute wait time was up (7:40 a.m.) and we were free to go. In the meantime we received our card telling us when we should be back for our second shot.
Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. It was very well organized, each one knew his job, and it looked as if there were plenty of volunteers.
We just want to say thank you to all of the dedicated people who are providing such a great service to their fellow man. We really appreciate you all.
