Stolen Laptop Returned to Owner
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 25 through Aug. 1.
Theft
On July 30, Meinardus spoke with a complainant in the 600 block of N. Jefferson who stated a laptop was stolen. The complainant had reported it previously however it eventually was returned to the owner. Call was cleared.
Animal Cruelty
On July 26, Patrolman Justin Koehne spoke with a complainant in the 200 block of E. Travis about animal cruelty.
Accident
On July 25, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to State Highway 71 Bypass for an accident. There were no injuries and wreckers were dispatched to scene.
On July 26, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to an accident. A citation was issued.
On July 26, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of Highway 159 for a box truck rollover. Officer spoke to the drivers and completed the accident report.
On July27, Meinardus responded to the 100 block of W Travis for a minor accident in the parking lot.
Burglary
On July 30, Maxwell was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a burglary.
Civil Matter
On July 31, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of Ellinger in regard to a civil matter.
Disturbance
On July 30, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and took information.
On July 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to a verbal argument.
Disorderly conduct
On July 29, Patrolman David Mohr responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson for an argument.
On July 29, Mohr responded to the 600 block of N. Jefferson for a tenant dispute.
On July 30, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass in regard to two male subjects that were arguing with each other.
Reckless Driving
On July 28, Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. State Highway 71 West for a reckless driver. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On July 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a suspicious person.
On July 30, Mohr received a call of two females walking in the 600 block of N. Jefferson. Officer was unable to locate.
On July 31, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to a suspicious vehicle.
Trespassing
On July 28, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Crockett where complainant wanted to issue a criminal trespass warring to a subject. Officer gave subject needed paperwork.
On July 29, Currington was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass for a subject. Officer issued a trespass warning and had subject leave.
Welfare Check
On July 27, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a welfare check.
On July 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of Highway 71 Frontage in regard to a welfare check.
Miscellaneous
On July 25, Mohr was dispatched to Love for a live band that was playing music too loud. The officer measured the sound with a decibel reading.
On July 25, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to property damage.
On July 27, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of W. Pearl in regard to loud music. Officer arrived on location and searched the area. Officer was unable to locate the loud music.
