SLM Hosting Parking Lot Worship Service

The Shared Lutheran Ministry will be hosting parking lot worship on Sept. 6 and Sept. 20. The SLM will meet in Warrenton at 9 a.m. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs and sit under the trees, distanced from other worshippers. It has been lovely under the huge oak trees at that time of day.

SLM will make decisions about in-person worship on a month-by-month basis and will continue to broadcast the service on Facebook, YouTube and KTIM.

When we have parking lot worship, we will celebrate communion. You can use your own bread/wine/juice or pick up a pre-packaged cup from your church.

Sewer and Water

The Ellinger Sewer and Water Supply Corp. will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.

Chamber of Commerce

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Check the website for location.

Commercial Heifer Show

The Fayette County Commercial Heifer Show is slated for Saturday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m. at the Fayette County Fair Grounds. There will be approximately 175 quality bred heifers fir sale by 4-H and FFA exhibitors. You can bid in person on site, phone in a bid or bid online. The sale will be broadcast online at www.cattleinmotion.com. Buyers must pre-register on the Cattle In Motion website. For more information, contact Lee Fritsch or call (979) 966-7153. Ellinger VFD

The Ellinger Volunteer Fire Department will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.
