Shorter Letters Please

To the editor:

This past week, for the first time in many moons, I could not make myself read the Opinion Page. I simply was overwhelmed by the voluminous epistles found there. I’m sure there were some good ideas, but after saying some things umpteen times, the thought of “Enough is Enough” occurs.

We are in tough times right now for many reasons, most of which are self-generated. I am reminded of something I read about Winston Churchill. During the midst of WWII, he insisted that the daily war briefings he received be presented on a single 8-1/2” x 11” sheet of paper. Don’t know if that is true or not, but I certainly like the idea. What do you think?
