Set Up for Invasion
To The Editor:
In my opinion the letter “Ukrainian Fight” is divisive, insulting, dismissive of historical facts and shows an ignorance of the real enemy of freedom.
The author is blinded by Progressive ideology and fails to realize the elected Progressives in Washington D.C. and the current White House operatives, have proven themselves unreliable and inept to serve American working families and the needs of her citizens. These “elected Progressives” and others across the U.S. are the reason our country is in turmoil. The results of progressive ideology have been the stifling of independence and liberty.
To protect our freedom and save our Republic, American patriots must learn America’s true history and not be deceived or distracted by rewrites or revisionist history.
It is important to choose your information sources wisely. I have found information offered by the League of Women Voters inadequate. “Brainwashing propaganda” permeates urban and rural airwaves poisoning many citizens.
Historical facts should be learned from--not dismissed. Russia and Ukraine have a very entwined and complicated history. According to an interview of Robert Service, a veteran historian of Russia, in 2007, Putin gave a speech at the Munich Conference on Security Policy that was, in Mr. Service’s words, “a rage against Ukraine ever joining NATO.” Again in 2012 Putin made it clear that “the Ukraine NATO question was not negotiable.” Signing a “Charter on Strategic Partnership”, which asserts America’s support for Kyiv’s right to pursue membership in the North American Treaty Organization, (NATO), encouraged by the current progressive administration, dissolved any restraint Putin might have had to withhold military takeover.
It seems the current progressive leaders set up Ukraine for invasion by Putin. What did they expect to gain by goading Putin’s ire?
The accusation “the Republicans want to pave the way for Putin to invade other non-NATO European Countries with impunity” is baseless.
Mr. Mikus questions why is the U.S. not “totally independent of its reliance on foreign oil”? This headline explains why; “Biden obstructs American oil productions, then asks OPEC to pump more oil” (https://www.americanexperiment.org/biden-obstructs-american-oil-production-then-asks-opec-to-pump-more-oil/). The first paragraph of this article states, “Since assuming the office of the Presidency, Joe Biden has taken several actions to obstruct oil production in the United States, including a suspension of new oil and gas leases on federal lands and blocking oil sales in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). He also canceled the Keystone XL pipeline (expansion) within hours of assuming office.”
Maybe the Democrat Dark Money of the Clinton Foundation funds, Hillary’s Uranium One deal, or the $1 million a year salary Hunter Biden was paid by Burisma Holdings, could be used “to support the adequate expansion and funding NATO in Europe?”
