Same Wavelength

To the Editor:

I have enjoyed columns by Brenda Miles ever since we moved to La Grange 20 years ago. She is a great writer who gets my attention with each column.

Last Friday’s column “When Did I Stop Caring” was especially meaningful to me. We are on the same wavelength for that one.

It’s disappointing to see what is being produced for viewers to watch on television and in the movie theaters today. I don’t actually “see” most of it, but I read about it or hear from others about it.

Oscars, Grammys and other awards shows used to be on my “to watch” list. But no more.

A few weeks ago while flipping channels, my husband and I came across a channel showing old Doris Day shows. She sang, did some comic skits and had guest actors or singers on as well. What a breath of fresh air that was.

I am missing good familyoriented television shows, movies and books.
