RT-C Education Foundation Fundraiser Feb. 6
The Round Top-Carmine Education Foundation will hold its only Annual fundraiser, “Small School, Big Hearts” dinner at the Round Top Rifle Hall on Feb. 6. The event provides funding for Arts Enrichment, Technology and Innovative Teacher Grants that would not be possible through the District’s budget.
The dinner, catered by the Round Top Rifle Association, will be a Chicken and Sausage meal at $ 12 per plate. No dinein will take place.

Round Top-Carmine High School varsity girls and boys basketball teams host Fayetteville Jan. 29. They play at Dime Box Feb. 2.
Martin Luther Lutheran Church
Retiring office staff members of Martin Luther Lutheran Church were recognized and presented gifs during the worship service on Dec. 20. Carol Carmean-17 years; Nancy Rosenbaum-20 years; and Nancy Eilers-23 years were honored for their faithful service in the support of the ministry at MLLC.
The church is grateful to have Vickie Neutzler and Audrey Sternadel to serve as the new office staff members. The office is open Mondays – Thursdays from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Rebekah Group Meets
The Rebekah Group of Martin Luther Lutheran Church met Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. with seven members present. They were Leonita Sanders, Dianna Gerland, Barbara Jacob, Joys Baird, Sedalia Ullrich, Susan Ray, and Nancy Eilers.
Birthday celebrants for January were LaVerne Kunkel, Thelma Hinze, and Dianna Gerland.
The Bible study was led by Susan Ray with the theme “Journeys with Angels; Looking Up-New Beginnings.”
Susan Ray, president, called the meeting to order.
Under Mission Action, eleven quilts were sewn Jan. 11 for Lutheran World Relief. Thirty-three quilts were taken to Camp For All on Jan. 5. They appreciated them very much. The group will be collecting for AMEN during the month of February. Bags and envelopes will be available for nonperishable food and monetary donations.
Under Mission Growth, it is quite possible that the banquet will not be held this year, pending the COVID19 status.
Baby care kits are being collected during January.
The WELCA Unit meeting was not held on Jan. 4.
Susan Ray gave the offering meditation.
The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer, followed by the singing of the table prayer.
Hostesses were Sedalia Ullrich and Nancy Eilers.

Sweetheart Classic Car Show
The 7th annual Sweetheart Classic Car Show is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13 on the south side of Highway 290 in Carmine. It opens at 8 a.m. and the display will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Come for a fun day and show off your favorite classic(s) for all to see.

MLLC News
Confirmation is Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m. Worship with Holy Communion, observing the Fourth Sunday after Epiphany, is at 10 a.m. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
The annual meeting was postponed and will be held Feb. 7.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean no. 1 and no. 2 food grade plastics (no other numbers), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans are accepted. It is very helpful to have the recycled items separated. Attendants are available to help unload.
They kindly ask that you please wait to drop off items when they are open.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
