Round Top Concerns
To the Editor:
What a shame. I don’t know what is going on in Round Top but, as a long time visitor for the antique show, I can tell you that it just isn’t right. I always enjoyed visiting with, and buying from, the vendors in the town Square. As I understand it, they had been there over 30 years and supported the local DYD ladies.
Now I guess the powers that be have decided that they are not welcome. Heck, those vendors helped make Round Top what it is today. I bet many of the local property owners wouldn’t have even heard about Round Top if it hadn’t been for the spring and fall shows.
Not only is this new policy depriving the DYD it’s opportunity to raise funds (that are used to beautify the town), but it also deprives those long term vendors (who helped build the show) of an opportunity to show and sell their wares. If this is the new Round Top, I’m not impressed.
PS - I must admit that those are the fanciest bathrooms I’ve ever encountered. Hope they didn’t blow their budget on those three stalls in the ladies room.
