Road Safety Ignored

After some careless drivers alarmed the residents of Bruno Rd, we asked the Precinct #4 commissioner how we could implement a speed limit. He explained the process and we got a petition together for the request for a 35 mph speed limit. 13 homes signed the petition for a total of 24 signatures for the addition of the speed limit to 35 where there was no speed zone signs before. Our commissioner, before the court date, says he talked with four people who changed their vote and who changed their minds for some odd reason and 45 mph was the 30 year veteran police officer recommended speed. I call foul. Seems like someone doesn’t care about safety or the opinions of the majority.
