Responding to Some Previous Letters

To the Editor:

I’d like to thank both M. M. Brown and Cindy Rodibaugh (in their recent letters) for speaking the truth on what has happened in our government not just recently but what has been going on for years. Ms. Rodibaugh’s letter is the perfect rebuttal to Ms. Reid’s letter on the election.

Democrats are not interested in the fact that America is and has been going down the road to socialism/communism for a long time; nor are they interested in a fair and free election process. Their ideas on Democracy and the Constitution are skewed by what appears to be their inability to see both sides of the story.

M.M. Brown is right, if Democrats think they are protected from what is coming they are sadly mistaken. You were just a means to an end. Make no mistake, our government has become the biggest threat to our freedom.

Mr. Webster in his letter, is correct in saying that it’s the responsibility of journalists to report “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Unfortunately, truth in reporting hasn’t happened in a very long time. We’ve seen it time and time again, the only so-called truth that’s been told over the last several years is the “truth” as seen from the Democrats’ point of view. Anyone who disagrees with their point of view is slandered, bullied, shamed, with every attempt made to ruin them. I’ll give you one example that speaks volumes to the lack of honor, integrity and moral compass of our current Democratic Party owned press. Nick Sandmann, a 15-year student from Covington High School, was eviscerated in the press for allegedly verbally attacking a Native American man. Turns out the “press” didn’t bother to check their facts and video prior to trying to destroy his life. And because of their lack of anything remotely indicating journalistic integrity, he had threats on his life and that of his family; my understanding is that he still gets threats. A 15-year-old kid, Mr. Webster, that’s what our press has come to.

I also find your outrage at the Record for not covering the Capitol protests disingenuous. Tell me Mr. Webster where was your outrage at the Record when Portland and Seattle were being overrun with terrorists who tried to burn a police precinct down with police officers still in the building; or when innocent people were beaten, and some killed; or when their businesses were robbed all while the police and EMTs were not allowed into the area to protect and save said citizens? Those sieges held American citizens hostage for months. I suspect you had no outrage because those are Democrat run cities and states. The Record, in my opinion, does a good job in covering the stories that pertain to Fayette County and its citizens and allows citizens on BOTH sides of the political spectrum to express their opinions. For anything on the national level, well there’s plenty of misinformation out there for everyone.
