Respect the Flag

To the Editor:

In the past some of you know I have written and spoken about the proper etiquette concerning the use of our flag. So it came as an unbelievable, sad, and revolting shock to me when I saw a truck with the American flag on one side and what appears to be an American flag on the other side of the vehicle. The flag said Trump on the bottom and F___ Biden on the top. It is hard for me to believe that there are Americans with such little respect for our flag.

After speaking with some other individuals, they informed me that there were several flags around the county and some even said that it was OK. How is this possible in this country and especially in this county, which I love. I am sure those people feel they are real patriots. I GET IT. YOU DON’T LIKE BIDEN. And you have every right to express your opinion.

I have a suggestion for the individual who is flying that flag on their truck. Go out and buy a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood and screw it to the side of your truck and write whatever you want about Biden. And by the language you use, people will know what kind of person you are. But please do not desecrate our flag that so many men and women have given their lives for. Shame on you and anyone else who thinks it’s OK.
