Fayette County’s ad valorem tax rate was to remain at 70¢ per $100 assessment for the 1973 tax year. Taxes, fees and licenses collected by Fayette County Tax Assessor-Collector Gilbert H. Eck’s office during the fiscal year July 1, 1971 to June 30, 1972 totaled $1,508,895.29. Taxes alone amounted to $1,000,394.32.
