Remember Charlie Kirk

To the Editor:

Some things are too sad for words. Losing Charlie is one of them. He lived the words he spoke.

He loved God, family, and country. He was smart, very smart. He was reaching out to all people, but especially the young, to live for those values that matter.

His devastated wife said that he asked every day if there was something she needed or he could help with. His two little children, too young to understand, have lost a loving dad. His little girl asked, “Mommy, where’s Daddy?” Mommy answered that he was on a trip to work with Jesus. Yes, there are no words, but she found the right ones for her little daughter.

Many colleges have become places of indoctrination rather than education. Charlie spoke at colleges to engage in dialogue from all perspectives. He spoke for marriage and being a good husband. He encouraged young people to have children and family values. He used his love of God and intelligence to give hope to those who thought they had none. Young people flocked to him, but evil existed among the thousands that loved him.

Charlie has earned The Medal of Freedom. Charlie will be remembered.
