Reality Check

To the Editor:

I am responding to a ¾ page paid political advertisement which John Mikus published in the Oct. 2, 2020 edition of this paper.

Simply put, he must be living in an alternate reality. Like many other Democrats, he accuses Trump and Republicans of all the lies, manipulation, and destructive policies which the Democratic Party has initiated for decades and continues to support. Democrats finally realized the daily reporting of the chaos, burning, looting, and murders by the BLM and ANTIFA mobs is hurting their candidates in the polls. So, miraculously, their media lap-dogs suddenly stopped coverage of the mayhem. Make no mistake: It is still going on. The media is just not reporting it.

I will not waste your time or mine addressing each one of the many erroneous or blatantly false statements Mr. Mikus made. If you read the fine print, he did admit that these are his OPINIONS. As we know, everyone has one. However, Republicans, unlike the Dems/Liberals/Socialists (whatever), are willing to allow the airing of personal opinions, regardless of how insane they are, without being “offended.”

Whether or not Democrat voters want to admit it, their Democrat candidates are promoting and will implement Socialistic/Communistic policies in America. History has shown that these ideologies never benefit the working class. Examples: Venezuela and every country that has tried it in the past.
