Read the Bible
To the Editor:
After turning my stomach when reading that ICE agents are as bad as rogue Liberian military, it showed how two people raised in La Grange can have very different outcomes. I will only speak of myself. My parents, church family, local government leaders and teachers taught us to live first to God, then to family and then to country. Because we believed in God our home was biblically run and because we were exposed to Sheriff Jim, Judge Schovajsa, Mr. Lemmons and Rep. Jungmichael- we held close to The Bible knowing it was the Word of God , our salvation, and the rule of law both locally and nationally. There was a right way and a wrong way.
The USA has limped along allowing illegal aliens, birthright citizenship, abortion, unbiblical marriage, Islam, drugs, fraud, bad laws, disregard for the rule of law, corrupt laws, corrupt agencies, idolatry, etc. to tear at the fabric of our nation as set up by our forefathers. Prayer birthed our nation - thank you Robert Hunt and BenFranklinandmen/womenof faith who sought true freedom of One Nation Under God.
Sorry, but I don’t care anymore for those who insist on destroying America and Texas. I don’t care if they are fathers, mothers, whatever occupation they are, whatever office they hold, whatever church they lead. If they do not follow The Bible they just lead us into temptation and sin which we read from Genesis to Revelation. I desire to repeat good not evil. It requires a lot of faith and life decisions for His Kingdom versus this world. Where I fail, Jesus forgives me when we commune at His table. One day, every knee will bow...
We grew up having breakfast as a family, attendance mandatory. We read from The Bible and a small daily devotional book. Although I didn’t take everyday to heart, the seeds were planted inside my heart. After straying when decisions were mine alone, iniquity brought me back to Jesus. Praise God. Daily Bible reading will change your life.
The Bible has many verses I am thinking of right now for born again believer’s to have the wisdom of God in their spirits. Exodus 20: 1-17. John 10:10. 2 Corinthians 10:5. 2 Chronicles 7:14. John 14:6. Ephesians 6:12. And, the greatest commandment given to us - Matthew 22: 37-39.
The season of Lent begins this coming week. May the revival of souls happening world wide be so powerful as we turn ourselves humbly to God. Dust off your Bible and open it for effortless change. Rejoice in the morning and afternoon. Go look at the sunrise and sunset. Praise God with hymns and praise music. God Bless Fayette County, God Bless Texas and God Bless America.
