Praise of Column

To the Editor:

Hanna Hoffman, in her piece on Jan. 26, “One Nation, Indivisible, or is it?” absolutely hit a home run. This long-form item cannot be summarized, but I offer one quote to recall the power of her writing, “No matter how credible any objections raised may be, a true audit, possibly of tens of millions of votes, across one or more states, with all the litigation and cross-litigation this would entail, is simply not compatible with such a pressing timeline.”

It is my deep conviction that America’s Federal system, incorporated in the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Executive and the Judiciary is collectively unwilling to take on the task on ensuring rapid, accountable national elections; their joint default has been buttressed by a massive federal bureaucracy of un-elected officials. None of these federal entities truly wants to resolve this advancing trend of election fraud evident to any careful observer of the last six presidential election cycles.

This is not a problem that can be resolved at a level of individual states; it is a federal problem, which, if left unresolved, will create adverse consequences as severe as those involving civil rights. America resolved the terrible and evil choices made after the Civil War. When our nation acknowledged the need to change its national mind about race, we began to heal.

Recently hearing of firsthand but official accounts of election fraud discovered in the state of Wisconsin during re-counts of the 2020 race, I have determined a virtual hammer must be struck on the dull and obstinate federal authorities. This hammer involves no violence or rioting; the hammer I have in mind is one more citizens standing for principle and promoting virtue.
