The Power of a Cheerful Person
To the Editor:
I feel like Miss Sylvia, an employee of the La Grange Whataburger, is just such an amazing woman filled with Jesus and brings so much joy to this community.
I made a post about her on the La Grange Moms Facebook group saying “The lady named Sylvia at Whataburger needs a raise!! Every time I go there, she’s the absolute sweetest person and always repeats my order with Jesus in it. She has the most uplifting spirit ever” and it just blew up with so much joy and happiness. So many people love Miss Sylvia and she brightens everybody’s day. I feel like she needs an appreciation post in the Fayette County Record. She brings so much joy to everybody.
I recently found out that she does not have her own vehicle and that she shares a car with her sister, and sometimes walks to work. She is a hard-working employee at Whataburger and even her manager says so. I talked to the general manager today and he told me they get constant calls daily about Sylvia how great she is and how she uplifts their spirits and how wonderful of an employee she is at Whataburger. A GoFundMe page has been set up to get her a car for herself so she can get back-and-forth to work. She absolutely deserves it.
