La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of of Nov. 29 through Dec. 6.

Theft

On Dec. 4, Emmons responded to the 500 block of Koenig Lane where an unknown suspect stole a delivered package off a front porch.

On Dec. 4, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Madison in regard to theft.

Accident

On Nov. 29, Currington was dispatched to the 2500 block of Von Minden for an accident. Officer stood by for trooper who was in route.

On Nov. 30, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado in regard to a two-vehicle accident. Officer took accident report and a citation was issued.

Animal Complaint

On Dec. 1, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager picked up a pitbull dog in the 700 block of E. Walnut and returned to owner.

On Dec. 2, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for a dog bite call.

Agency Assist

On Nov. 29, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to a fire call in the 700 block of S. Madison. Officer spoke with subject and it was a false alarm.

On Dec. 1, Patrolman John Wostarek assisted the Lexington police with a subject at One St. Mark’s Place.

On Dec. 1, Wostarek assisted deputies with a vehicle driving the wrong way in the 1700 block of Highway 71.

Alarm

On Dec. 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis in regard to an alarm. Officer arrived on location and found the building to be secure.

Civil Matter

On Nov. 29, Currington spoke with a subject in regard to a civil matter at the police station.

On Nov. 30, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Vail in regard to a civil matter.

On Dec. 3, Zwahr spoke to subjects in the 500 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to a civil matter.

Disorderly Conduct

On Dec. 4, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2100 block of W. State Highway 71 Business in regard to a subject being irate.

Found Property

On Dec. 2, Zwahr responded to the 500 block of N. Jefferson for a found wallet. Officer is trying to find the owner to return wallet.

On Dec. 3, Zwahr responded to the 100 block of W. Colorado for found property. Officer contacted the owner and owner had already replaced the property.

On Dec. 4, Maxwell received lost property that was found in the 100 block of W. Milam.

Harassment

On Dec. 4, Maxwell was dispatched to E. Fannin and N. Vail in regard to threats.

On Dec. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of Highway 159 in regard to harassment.

Possession

On Dec. 4, Patrolman Justin Koehne responded to the 500 block of E. Guadalupe where complainant advised he had an intoxicated subject inside his house refusing to leave. Subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for processing.

Reckless Driving

On Dec. 5, Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Main in regard to reckless driving. Officer arrived on location and searched the area but was unable to locate the vehicle.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On Nov. 29, Zwahr was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for a subject. Upon arrival officer found the subject was gathering items from her vehicle in case she would need to stay overnight at the hospital.

On Dec. 1, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of N. Franklin where caller stated that a subject was banging on her door and yelling about someone else and then left the location on a bicycle. Officer checked the area but did not locate the subject.

On Dec. 2, Zwahr responded to the 2100 block of W. State Highway 71 Business for a suspicious person at the location. Officer checked the vehicle and found it to be within code.

On Dec. 3, Patrolman Cari Haman, while checking ATM machines throughout town for damage or any sign of being tampered with, saw a truck parked in the drive through lane of the bank drive-through in the 200 block of W. Colorado. It was later learned that the vehicle belonged to a custodial employee.

On Dec. 3, Zwahr responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of E Upper line. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

Verbal Dispute

On Dec. 4, Emmons responded to the 700 block of E. Fannin for an ongoing verbal dispute between the complainant and subject over the theft of a lawn mower. Complainant says the other subject left prior to officer’s arrival.

On Dec. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1300 block of N. Jefferson in regard to a verbal dispute.

Welfare Check

On Dec. 2, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison to meet with individual that had concerns about her son.

On Dec. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 500 block of Roitsch in regard to a welfare check. Officer made contact with the subject and they advised all was fine.

On Dec. 5, Emmons responded to the 500 block of Cindy Lane where caller believes she was being hit with laser beams causing her skin to burn. Caller had just moved into the apartment and was not on any medication for mental health issues.

Miscellaneous

On Nov. 29, Zwahr responded to the 100 block of E. Guy to a call of loud noise. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate any loud noise.

On Nov. 30, Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Colorado for a subject in the lobby harassing other customers. Subject was gone upon officer’s arrival.

On Nov. 30, Koehne found an open security gate to a property in the 500 block of E. Travis. Manager was contacted to have someone secure it.

On Dec. 2, Emmons responded to the 600 block of N. Horton for loud music. The music was low but there was a little base coming from a white Jeep parked in the driveway. Subject was very cooperative and turned down the bass.
