Politicians Lack Character

To the Editor:

John F. Kennedy wrote in his book, Profiles in Courage, “We the people, are the boss, and we will get the kind of political leadership, be it good or bad, that we demand and deserve.” As a result of the shenanigans witnessed at numerous state polling places and the refusal of courts and members of Congress to review this evidence, we have a president that signed 30 executive orders in the first three days after taking the oath of office in an attempt to undo the positive impact of the previous administration.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning,” quoted from Psalm 30:5, by Biden in his inaugural address, will not be the response of 52,100 workers whose jobs he eliminated with a stroke of his pen. How are they supposed to “unify” behind such a policy when he has taken away their livelihood?

I wonder who wrote those executive orders and when? Maybe writing executive orders was what was occupying Biden’s time, keeping him from the public during the campaign season.

Character is built on making decisions based on what we value most. What kind of character is Biden portraying via his executive orders? What I see in Washington today are politicians who lack character and have disregarded the values of the citizens they are supposed to represent.
