Outcome Won’t Change

To the Editor:

According to the far right Heritage Foundation voter fraud database, there have been 1,298 proven instances of voter fraud since 1979. Even if we assume that we doubled that number (rampant voter fraud) in 2020, and even if we assume they all came in one single state, it would sway the election by exactly ZERO electoral votes.

Now, the reality is that voter fraud is very rare. Again, 1,298 proven cases over the past 41 years. In 2020, there have been exactly zero cases proven in regard to the Nov. 3, 2020 election, and the likelihood of this supposed fraud happening all in one state is exactly 0%. Trump’s narrowest margin was by some 12,353 votes in Georgia. Trump lost Newt Gingrich Georgia. Let that sink in. He’s also lost Barry Goldwater/Joe Arpaio Arizona.

Recounts historically do not change much. Al Gore saw 1,200 additional votes as part of the 2000 presidential race recount in Florida, but typically recounts actually add more votes to the winning party and when they do negatively impact the winning party it is on average under 200 votes.

Don’t expect recounts to change the outcome. Don’t expect the accusations of voter fraud to change the outcome. Resist if you wish, but accept the repudiation of Trumpism and that Biden is the next President of the United States.
