Not So Fast on Election
To the Editor:
This letter is a response to Mr. Eric Greene’s suggestion that US citizens should simply acknowledge that Mr. Joe Biden won the election hands down and move on with their lives.
No, Mr. Greene, not so fast. Laws were broken here and the purity and integrity of an election was broken by people who tried to move too far and too fast.
I am still hearing of people coming forward in the battleground states complaining that votes on machines simply flipped as though from magic causes. In addition, ballots are still being counted in those states at the time of this writing. Another additional complaint is that of entire boxes of ballots being thrown away because they were marked as votes for President Trump.
And the Democratic Party continues to claim that nothing is being swept under the rug? There are too many complaints about this election already. Recall that Al Gore, Democrat of Tennessee did not concede the election to Bush until Dec. 13 of 2000.
It is a shame that elections cannot occur freely and of their own in the open. Yet it seems that there are people whose agendas must be advanced by ignoring the intentions of the public and going around written and established election laws.
