Not All as It Seems

To the Editor:

I’m responding to Patty Reid’s letter in which she states, “the Lincoln Project is a group of Republicans holding accountable those who would violate their oaths to the Constitution……” It amazes me how often I read letters to the editor where people just regurgitate stuff they hear from the “ same stream media” and take it as gospel without doing any fact checking. I always question everything, so I checked into the Lincoln Project. Imagine my surprise (not really) when I found that the biggest donors of the Lincoln Project aren’t distraught Republicans but long-time Democratic Party operatives. People who have consistently supported democratic candidates. Hence why the Lincoln Project supports Joe Biden. I also believe that Ms. Reid

wrote another letter recently saying that President Trump said the coronavirus was a hoax. He did not say that. It has already been proven that the media spliced together two sentences from a speech he gave. President Trump did use the word “hoax” but his full comments, and subsequent explanation, make clear he was talking about Democratic attacks on his administration’s handling of the outbreak, not the virus itself.

If one wants to have an intelligent conversation/debate on any subject; politics, healthcare, coronavirus, etc. one should use facts not innuendo, hearsay, and certainly not anything the “lame stream media” says. There really is no free press in America now, there are only people with agendas to take down America.
