Not All Fayetteville Residents Hate Trucks
To the Editor:
Regarding the article “Fayetteville Residents Fed Up with 18-Wheeler Traffic,” we would like to ask: When? What?
Perhaps the title could have been “Some Fayetteville Residents Fed Up with 18-wheeler traffic,” or even more precise, “Five local Fayetteville Residents Fed Up with 18-wheeler Traffic.” Who knows? But certainly not all Fayetteville residents because we were completely surprised with the headline but not the article.
At one time in Fayetteville, sure there were only five 18-wheelers in a whole day. The ‘70s, the ‘80s those days are gone forever and here we are. It is called progress.
Progress is the force for high volume 18-wheeler traffic. We all know we cannot stop progress; perhaps some untouched acreage in the state of Montana would satisfy quiet nights.
Life is not perfect. Sometimes we make huge mistakes. Choosing a home, creating a beautiful busy life is a true blessing. Many folks will never own a house to call home.
To admit purchasing a home in a terrible, terrible location would certainly give great grief and deep personal struggle.
Progress.
