To the Editor:

As I read other Letters to the Editor, it is apparent we do not watch the same news channels.

It appears many still watch what I think is fake news, not FOX news. Recently, other letters have stated that Trump alone is now the reason for the looters, the fires in our western states, and COVID-19, and that his ‘rhetoric’ is the reason. Please tell us, what rhetoric? Be specific. All I seem to recall is the likes of Maxine Watters, and Corey Booker, Pelosi and even President Obama telling people to get in each other’s faces and do whatever it takes, and BLM and Antifa, all leftist liberals, are complying.

Funny thing is, I have not seen ‘one,’ red MAGA hat in all these riots where buildings and businesses are burning. I see not ‘one’ MAGA hat, getting in people’s faces at restaurants, nor do I see “red hats” knocking elderly people off the streets and stealing their items.

Using the White House for the RNC is unethical and shocking? What I think is unethical, is giving Iran over $1 billion in cash, and letting Benghazi burn and Hillary destroy thousands of emails, with no repercussions. What is shocking, is rioters burning down businesses and homes and Democratic led cities allowing it.

The only systemic racism I think is happening is “white privilege” being taught in our schools and colleges, and blared out by BLM. What I believe most of us see is a past, African American president, elected by America, I see very wealthy African American talk show hosts, athletes, reporters, all supported and raised up by Americans. There are many African American mayors, all over the U.S. Does that sound like a racist America?

If people would respect cops, maybe they wouldn’t be getting shot. Why is it we rarely hear of the good cops that have been shot, hurt or killed, all while just doing their jobs?

It is said a predictor of future behavior is past behavior. I understand that people are still receiving their social security checks after four years of Trump. I understand drug costs are coming down, and preexisting conditions are still considered. I do not worry about those things, unless the Democratic Party takes over. And it has become fact that the numbers on COVID-19 are not always correct and that the US tests more people than any other country, which could explain some numbers.

Trump supplied PPE and masks on as timely a matter as he could have, brought his scientists and doctors to press conferences, and led as suggested by Dr Fauci, even though Fauci has flipped countless times on his thoughts of COVID-19.

At the RNC, I heard the truth about the cruelty of abortions, that ISIS was destroyed shortly after Trump took office, that the military was enhanced, jobs were back, taxes down and the economy up. Also stated was prison reform under Trump, job growth for minorities and military troops coming home - all facts.

Another fact, Trump is nominated for two Nobel Peace awards. He has made foreign affairs positive.

Some people can’t see the forest for the trees. As has been said, if Trump cured cancer, he would still be a bad man. But even Jesus Christ was not perfect for some, was he? Just can’t please everyone.
