Moreau’s Work Valued

Craig Moreau, Emergency Management Director for Fayette County has been a standup guy for us through both Hurricane Harvey aftermath and COVID-19 in 2020. Mr. Moreau initiated the drivethrough COVID-19 immunization located at the Washington County Fairgrounds for Fayette and Washington County. Prior to that, he sought out such services in Bastrop County and publicized where and how to get your immunization.

He is a dedicated man who rolls up his sleeves and gets to work problem-solving and can troubleshoot in any given situation with results.

I am saddened to hear that his services are no longer welcome and that Emergency Management will be divvied out to county personnel. Those of us in the county that have gotten to know Craig and wife Jamie and their daughters know what God-fearing, humble and goodnatured people and public servants they are. They will be the first to say that they want only what is best for our county and will jump in, as they always do, with helping hands at benefits and wherever help is needed and serve others.

I just want to be a stand-up citizen and thank Craig Moreau for the many hours and selfless service he has given to our county as the Emergency Management Director.
