Missing Trump?
To the Editor:
I bet he is asking, “Do you miss me yet?” We didn’t want to see him go. Our former President of the United States is now an American citizen. But, yet, we continue to hear hateful remarks about his presidency and what about this farce of an impeachment? Come on people, get a grip.
It all stems from hatred. What is hatred. It is extreme dislike or disgust. It is Congressional and Senatorial men and women squabbling over whether or not to impeach a President who has already left office. Biden has signed one executive order after another undoing everything the previous President did to better our country for its citizens. It’s all about a bunch of so-called leaders in the Washington D.C. swamp angry at anything and everything and we, the American people, have to put up with it. Really? It is lying. It is a man who stands in front of the cameras and tells the American people that 6,000 new jobs were created in January. Eleven thousand jobs were lost when the executive order was signed to stop the construction of the Keystone Pipeline. Now, when I went to school -11,000 plus 6,000 equals -5,000. Plus, farmers are already feeling the effects of the oil and gas industry’s lost jobs. Fertilizer just went up which will mean food prices will steadily rise. Wait and see. Gas prices will continue to rise as well.
So, climate control is more important than the pandemic or person’s job? Biden declared that Climate Control is “the number one issue facing humanity.” Personally, I thought it was the pandemic, getting our citizens immunized against this deadly disease. I also thought it was about rallying behind the working citizen so they can put food on the table and clothes on their backs. Where are the priorities?
Aren’t you tired of it? No wonder people walk around this country with no smiles. They themselves are angry because all they hear are remarks filled with anger and hate. These people got elected to do a job. Many people no longer watch the news. Why? They are sick and tired of news stories about elected officials bashing one another, the former President and even his family.
Biden is asking for the nation to become unified. But, yet, he has not done one thing to stop the impeachment hearings which is using up the American citizen’s tax dollars not to mention the time it takes to hold this travesty of a trial. Instead, he quoted, “This is their President they are talking about.” But the man is no longer President of the United States. He is an American citizen.
It’s going to take citizens like you and me rallying together and praying together to see a positive change in this country. It’s time to speak up but with respect and dignity, not with violence.
Write, email, call or text your Congressman/woman, your Senator and ask them to stop all of this nonsense. If we have enough people to do all of those things, eventually our leaders will get the hint, hopefully.
Stop the hatred of Trump and of each other. Get on with what is important: COVID immunizations of every citizen, jobs, pride in our country, education, etc.
During the hippie movement of the 1960’s, love and peace were two words that were used a great deal. Whatever happened to those words in our country and that ideology?
